What Does Earthquake Do?

Earthquake is a powerful Ground-type Physical Attack that damages all Pokémon on the field, making it an effective move against large groups of enemies. On top of this, it has an impressive Power of 100, making it one of the strongest offensive moves in the game.

Players that have access to the Earthquake TM can teach this powerful move to Pokémon earlier than they would naturally be able to learn or to Pokémon that might not be able to learn the move by leveling up at all.

Earthquake TM’s Location In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

You can get your hands on the Earthquake TM by completing a task for the Pokémon League representative at the northern Pokémon Center in Cascarrafa. This representative will give you the TM after defeating five Asado Desert trainers.

Luckily, this task is more straightforward than you might think!

  • Cross the bridge near the Cascarrafa Pokémon Center, then go west to find the first trainer
  • Head south and find trainers at the base of each of the three mountains in the southern central portion of the Asado Desert
  • Head north towards Porto Marinada to find one final trainer

After defeating the trainers, head back to the northern Cascarrafa flight path waypoint where you will get the Earthquake TM.
