Bronzor has been with us for ages since Generation IV, and it is one of the lucky pocket monsters that has made it to the 9th generation.

This Bronze Pokémon is dual-type Psychic and Steel Pokémon. With its defensive stats, it is not a surprise that a lot of players have been aching to have Bronzor and its evolutionary successor, Bronzong, on their side.

Luckily for Bronzor, evolving it is a not-that-complicated process, but it’s not easy either. With that, here’s everything you need to know on how to evolve Bronzor into Bronzong in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Where to find Bronzor in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Bronzors are quite scattered around the Paldea Region, and all you have to do is know where exactly it resides. Prepare your Koraidon or Miraidor and let’s start to hunt Bronzor down. Best believe you’ll encounter Bronzor in any of these areas:

  1. East Province Area Two
  2. South Province Area Two, Three, and Four
  3. West Province Area One
  4. Asado Desert

The dual-type Psychic/Steel Pokémon is said to have a preference for ruins. It appears to be flat and circular, with six spheres attached on its sides. With its small size, it is pretty much easy to miss but you can also use this as a hint.

While doing so, you may also farm Bronzor Fragment. Bronzor Fragment is a material used to create TMs in the TM Machine provided that you have unlocked the recipe.

How to Evolve Bronzor into Bronzong in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Evolving Bronzor into Bronzong is actually simple and straightforward, just like how we want it to be. No special items, no particular conditions. Bronzor changes form and evolve into Bronzong upon reaching Level 33. From a totem-like appearance, it will grow into a large bell with two arms coming out on either side of its body.

If you’re not that fortunate to get one at a higher level, you’re left with no choice but to spend time joining regular and Tera Raid Battles, or consume some of your Rare Candies and EXP Candies.

Can you get Bronzong without evolving Bronzor?

As the story progresses, you will encounter countless Pokémons that you can catch and evolve, including Bronzor and Bronzong.

Waiting for the right level before you can evolve Bronzor however may seem tedious especially if you’re aiming to develop plenty of Pokémon.

But the great thing is, it is possible to get Bronzong without laying a finger on any Bronzor. Similar to how you can get Bronzor, head to any ruins around these locations:

  1. North Province Area One and Two
  2. West Province Area Three
  3. South Province Area Six
  4. Casseroya Lake
  5. Glaseado Mountain

Final Thoughts

Although evolving Bronzor into a Bronzong takes plenty of time and resources, it is indeed an excellent addition to the game. While Bronzong is barely a sweeper with its mediocre Atk and speed stats, its defensive stats and resistances are definitely worth the attention.
