Step #1: Obtain a Rotom Phone Case
The first thing you have to do is obtain another Rotom phone case to switch with the original one. There are two ways you can do this.
Purchase Rotom Phone Cases from Delibird Presents
The first and most common way of getting new Rotom phone cases is by purchasing them from the Delibird Presents shops that are found in Mesagoza, Levincia, and Cascarrafa, the three main cities of Paldea.

What’s more is that all three cities carry different sets of times, which means you might find a Rotom case in Levincia that you might not be able to purchase in Cascarrafa, so be sure to check all of them out to see which one you like the most.
Reward For Playing Previous Pokemon Games
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet reward players who have an existing save of previous Nintendo Switch Pokemon with special Rotom phone cases. To claim these special cases, you first have to play the game up until the point you’re able to access Mesagoza.

Depending on how many stops you make on the way, this should take anywhere from one to three hours of playtime. When you reach the city, talk to the woman in front of the stairs leading up to Mesagoza’s central plaza.

The lady can be easily identified by a yellow bubble on top of her, and speaking to her will give four options to choose from. Those options include
- Kanto (Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Let’s Go, Eevee!)
- Galar (Pokemon Sword or Shield)
- Sinnoh (Pokemon Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl)
- Hisui (Pokemon Legends: Arceus)

Simply select the game that you’ve played on that same Nintendo Switch before, and you’ll be rewarded with a special Rotom phone case.
Step #2: Change Rotom Phone Case
Now that you have at least one other Rotom phone case that you want to equip, all you have to do is
- Press the left button on the D-Pad to access the outfit menu.
- You’ll see multiple icons toward the top of the screen. Using the D-Pad, navigate to the Rotom phone icon.
- Highlight the Rotom phone case that you want to equip, and press ‘A’.
- Finally, exit the outfit menu, and congratulations, you now have a different Rotom phone case!
