So if you’re wondering where and how to catch it, that’s what this guide is all about.

How to catch Raikou in Pokemon Indigo Disk
Before starting, it’s important to know that Raikou is a Pokemon Scarlet version exclusive. If you’re a Pokemon Violet owner, you won’t be able to catch it in your game. To unlock Raikou’s encounter, you must complete the DLC and talk to Snacksworth after completing 10 BBQs to receive a random Treat. Once you receive the Raikou Treat, Raikou will be available in the overworld.
Pokemon Indigo Disk Raikou location
Raikou can be found just north of the lake at the top of a mountain to the south of Porto Marinada and southwest of the Asado Desert. Climb to the top, head to the northern side of the lake, and then drop down to a small grassy area where you’ll find Raikou waiting for you.
Be sure to save before battling, as this is a one-time event, and you won’t get a second chance. Raikou will be at Level 70, and is both fast and powerful, so you’ll want some fairly powerful Pokemon of your own to bring along.
We would recommend having a Pokemon that can Paralyze or put Raikou to sleep easily, such as Toedscruel which can learn Spore. Get Raikou’s health down fairly low using a move like False Swipe, and then send in Toescruel to send it to sleep, before using your Poke Ball of choice to capture it.
