How to catch Kyogre in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet The Indigo Disk DLC
To catch Kyogre, you need to complete enough Blueberry Quests to have Mr. Snacksworth give you the Kyogre Treat and reveal the Pokemon’s Location. The exact number of quests that need to be completed seems to be randomized. For us, it took around 80 to 100 quests. Kyrogre is a Pokemon Violet exclusive so you will need to complete online quests with friends to unlock it in Pokemon Scarlet.
Let’s break down everything you need to know about catching this Pokemon.
Kyogre Location in Pokemon Indigo Disk
Kyogre is located in the North Paldean Sea. To reach this location, travel to the Casseroya Lake fast travel point. From there, you can use the fly ability to reach the sea by flying over the cliffs. You can also swim from the lake and go around the land.
Kyogre can be seen floating in the water just off the coast near some spires. Be careful, there are plenty of vicious Pokemon in the area that will start a battle with you without hesitation.
How to catch Kyogre
Kyogre is a pure water-type Pokemon. Because of this, Kyogre is weak to electric and grass-type moves. Bring a grass-type or electric-type Pokemon to knock Kyogre’s health down. Be sure to have another Pokemon that can inflict status effects or use False Swipe to lower Kyogre’s HP.
Kyogre isn’t a very difficult Pokemon to catch. For us, it took only a few Ultra Balls once we lowered its health.
Watch out for water-type moves
Kyogre has multiple water type moves that get enhanced thanks to its Drizzle ability. Be sure not to use any Pokemon that are weak to water-type moves during the fight.
Kyogre stats, level, and abilities
Just like the other legendary Pokemon you will encounter around Paldea, Kyogre is level 70. This Pokemon has the following abilities:
- Drizzle – Weather changes to heavy rain when the Pokemon enters battle
Kyogre has the following stats:
Stats | Total |
---|---|
HP | 100 |
Attack | 100 |
Defense | 90 |
Sp. Attack | 150 |
Sp. Defense | 140 |
Speed | 90 |
