As Payday 3 is a co-op game, it is best experienced when played in a group. If you are wanting to pick your own troop to heist with then you will need to make a private lobby. Alternatively, you can be put into a group through Payday 3’s matchmaking. However, there’s nothing worse than a heist failed by the incompetency’s of the general public. No fear though, it’s very simple to set up a private lobby in Payday 3.

Let’s get straight into it.

How to create a private lobby Payday 3

If you’re wanting to create a private lobby to play solo or with friends, just follow these simple steps.

  • Choose a mission
  • Change Lobby Type to Friends Only or Invite Only

It’s as simple as that. Now that you’re in a private lobby you can play solo or with your friends. If you wanted to play Payday3 solo, simply add however many AI opponents you want to take on. It is important to note that if you are playing solo or with friends in a private lobby then it prevents public matchmaking from occurring, which might not be what you want.

Another thing to mention is that if you start a game with less than four players, a BOT player will be added to assist you. Unless the lobby is full, there isn’t a way to play with just the people that have been invited. The BOTs are fairly harmless in that they don’t seem to mess with tactics but its still something to know when playing.
