Need to know how you can link Overwatch 2 to your Twitch account? Plenty of games offer in-game rewards for watching Twitch streams, and Overwatch 2 is no different. But, if you can only get the goodies if you link accounts.

With Season 8 of Overwatch 2 just launching, it’s never been a better time to jump into the game. There’s a new Battle Pass to work through, a new hero to play with, and plenty more. Twitch drops are one way to join in on the action. How do you link your Twitch account to Overwatch 2? We’re here to show you how.

To link your accounts together, all you need to do is:

  1. Log into your Battle.net account
  2. Go to the Battle.net connections page
  3. Scroll down and find Twitch
  4. Choose Connect
  5. Sign in with your Twitch username and password

And that’s it. Now your Twitch account should be linked to your Battle.net for you to start earning your rewards. Note that if you decide to link a different Twitch to your Battle.net, you’ll need to wait seven days after removing the old connection to add another.

How to earn Overwatch 2 rewards on Twitch

Once you’ve got your accounts linked, head to the Overwatch 2 category on Twitch to start earning rewards. All you need to do is watch Overwatch 2 streams for whatever time is needed to earn your goodies.

You’re able to watch Twitch through the browser on your computer or through the app on your mobile device. Either one will let you claim the rewards. All you need to do is watch Overwatch 2 content on Twitch long enough to earn the free rewards.

Luckily, you don’t even need to watch the same channel the entire time. If it’s tagged with Overwatch 2, it counts. You won’t lose any progress towards your drops if you switch channels.

They’re not all free

Some special Twitch drops require you to subscribe or gift subscriptions to eligable streamers instead. While this isn’t free, you do get much better rewards, like the Bird of Paradise Epic skin for Echo that’s available through December 10.

What rewards can I earn in Overwatch 2 from Twitch

Twitch drops for Overwatch 2 are cosmetics like sprays, voice lines, victory poses, and more. Occasionally, you can also earn skins from Twitch drops. Blizzard will post the Twitch drops and the requirements needed to earn them on the Overwatch news page.

Once you’ve met the requirements, you can claim your gift. Go to the channel’s drops and claim it, or head to the Twitch Drops Inventory to find it there. Be aware that if a Battle.net account has not been linked to your Twitch, the drops will expire seven days after being claimed.
