Startrace Ore is a colorful mineral found in Once Human that’s used to produce Stardust Source, a scarce resources needed to soup up your arsenal of weapons. Unlike Copper or Tungsten, it’s an extremely rare material and spawns in very limited quantities across the map. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to get Startrace Ore in Once Human.
Where to get Startrace Ore
To get Startrace Ore, you’ll need to head to the western portion of the Red Sands region. You’ll need to be at least level 25 to enter the area. Head for the Monolith in the northwest of the region, then head west to coordinates 1057, -1296 to find a set of sand dunes housing clusters of multi-coloured Startrace Ore nodes. To mine the the ore, you’ll need at least a Steel Pickaxe, though higher tier axes will mine it much quicker. You’ll also find several nodes near the lake southeast of the Blackfell Fallen Zone. If you want a steady source of Startrace Ore, it’s worth establishing a mining operation base to farm it consistently whenever it respawns.
How to make Stardust Source
Once you have Startrace Ore, you can technically produce Stardust Source. However, to do so, you’ll need a bit of luck and secure the Oil Processing as a memetic specialization unlock option. It’s a late-game specialization that typically features at level 30. When you unlock Oil Processing, you can then craft Stardust Source at an Electric Furnace using:
- 15x Portable Mixed Fuel
- 50x Startrace Ore
Stardust Source is commonly required to calibrate weapons, especially as higher tiers, to improve their stats and efficiency in combat. It’s also used to produce Staroid Resonators, Vortex Generator grenades, Projection Generators, and Spectrum Generators.
