The Junkyard in the west of the Broken Delta is crawling with Rosetta brutes, making it a pretty inhospitable place to hang about. But, with a few crates full of useful loot to grab, it’s well worth the visit. However, the Mystical Crate is a bit of an elusive one, concealed in one of the most unlikely of places in the old train yard.

Where to find the Junkyard Mystical Crate

To get the Mystical Crate, head for the covered train yard building in the northwest of the point of the Junkyard. A good way to reach it is to approach the Junkyard from the north, go through the entrance gate, then stick right and make your way through the abandoned trains. 

The building we want has the numbers 16 and 17 marked above the large doors. Head through the right-hand door with 17 above it and then up onto the concrete platform in the middle of the building. Ahead you’ll see a crate and the Carnival of Doom quest marker.

Turn left (or north) and grapple up onto the red freight train right in front of you. Drop down into the train’s cargo hold and you’ll spot the Mystical Crate at the end of the covered section to your left. As with most Mystical Crates, you’ll get weapon or armour blueprint fragments, consumables, materials, and other goodies.

While you’re here, there are also weapon and gear crates to grab, 20 enemies to kill, one elite enemy to defeat, and the Rift Anchor to unlock. The place is full of enemies so it’s worth completing everything in one fell swoop to avoid having to return.
