The Carnival of Doom quest tasks you with escaping Chuckles’s demented playroom by taking part in a sketchy game of Russian roulette with some terrible odds. It’s all rigged though so without some lateral thinking, you’ll be stuck in an endless death loop. Fun.
We’ll walk you through how to escape and complete the Carnival of Doom and make it back to the less disturbing open world. It’s similar to the Dayton Hospital looping quest, if you’ve played through that one.

How to start the Carnival of Doom
To start the Carnival of Doom quest, head to the marker in the Junkyard point of interest in the very west of the Broken Delta region. The place is crawling with Rosetta goons so be prepared for a fight. Interact with the revolver on the crates in the train yard to start the quest.
How to escape the Carnival of Doom
Regardless of whether you choose to turn the gun on yourself or Chuckles, the result is the same – death. Instead, tap Q to trigger space time and reveal a cable running past Chuckles to the back of the room. Trace the cable to the socket on the wall to trigger some dialogue that mentions ‘a guy behind the wall.’
Head back to the clown, talk to him, and select ‘I need some fresh air’ from the dialogue options. Follow the red quest marker through the large open door then continue down the corridor until you spot another clown manning a console. Kill him using a melee weapon (or by tapping V) because guns aren’t allowed in Chuckle’s playhouse other than, you know, that dodgy revolver.
Approach and interact with the Roulette Cheating Device then tap Investigate. During a short cutscene, you’ll learn that the game is rigged. Head back to Chuckles and select ‘Accept the challenge’ then ‘I’ll put the trigger’ – you’re only option.

You’ll shoot Chuckles, transforming him into a teddy bear. A Voodoo Doll Deviation will spawn. Grab it to exit the area and complete the quest. When you return to the Junkyard, the Rosetta troops will have respawned so be ready to leg it out or to gun them down.
