Can you play Nightingale offline?
No, you cannot play Nightingale offline at the moment. However, the developers released a blog post saying that offline play is planned for Nightingale eventually. There is a huge emphasis on multiplayer shared worlds and the game is an online-only experience for now. You can play the game by yourself, but you will always need to be online to play Nightingale until this offline play update comes out.
This question was answered by Inflexion Games in a developer update video, sharing that “In early access launch, Nightingale will be an online only game, even if you’re playing solo”. With that in mind, you can easily join friends and play together, so long as you set the same Respite Realm – a spawn point – and meet up that way.
Now the devs have addressed offline play, we can expect to see that somewhere down the line. The blog post reads: “We are now prioritizing and developing an offline mode that we plan to release as soon as feasible.” Either way, offline play is still going to be a long way off, so you will have to enjoy it as it is for now.
