How to call up players from the CHL in NHL 24

Franchise Mode puts you in the hot seat and allows you to manage the NHL’s next great team. 

In order to dominate the sport, you will need to think about the future, as well as the present. 

Thankfully for those fortune tellers amidst us, there is a developmental league in NHL 24 that will grow some of the hottest stars of the future. 

The Canadian Hockey League, or CHL as it’s also known, is a developmental league that can produce some of NHL 24’s next great players. 

During drafts, you will have the chance to bring in players from this league, but there are rules that prevent call-ups. 

You can only call up players over the age of 20 from the CHL, even if you’ve already drafted them to your franchise. 

This might be a point of frustration but it will give your player time to grow before they join your team, and you also have the benefit of not paying their contract. 

Once they turn the eligible age, at the start of a new season, the player will then move to your team and be available for selection.
