The NBA 2K24 seasonal rewards system is receiving a massive overhaul, and there’s plenty to be excited about. In previous editions of NBA 2K, fans had two reward paths they had to grind separately for two of their biggest modes, MyCAREER and MyTEAM. But this year that’s all about to change.

The NBA 2K24 release date is now less than a month away, which in turn, has already seen NBA 2K24 reveal multiple player ratings and their new Gameplay changes, including the arrival of ProPlay. And with the MyTEAM and MyCAREER reveals set to go live later this month, NBA 2K decided to grant fans a sneak preview of how both modes will now closely intertwine with one another, incentivising more fans to play the other mode they tend to play less off.

This is by no means the only change NBA 2K24 is incorporating to their new seasonal rewards system. Should you be after more, we cover all the additional details you need to know about what’s to come in NBA 2K24 down below.

NBA 2K24 Seasonal Rewards

NBA 2K24 Seasonal Linear rewards system

The first major change fans will get to experience in NBA 2K24 is that of its new seasonal linear rewards system. Instead of having two different reward paths for MyTEAM and MyCAREER that you had to grind for individually, players will now earn a free reward from both modes each time they reach a new level in NBA 2K24. In other words, if you reach Level 40 in MyCAREER, you will unlock not only its own prize, but also the Level 40 reward from MyTEAM as well.

Prior to this change, fans would have to allocate loads of time for either MyTEAM or MyCAREER if they aimed on securing the Level 40 prize for either reward path. Securing both Level 40 prizes in any given six-week season was virtually impossible to achieve. And for anyone who enjoys playing both modes, had to usually pick between which they wanted to spend more time with.

Now with this change, however, fans will be able to grind for all the prizes from both of the biggest modes in the game, without having to worry about missing out due to playing one more than the other. For those that like both game modes, this is simply a monumental change and a great one.

NBA 2K24 Season Passes and perks

The new linear reward path is big. But it wasn’t the only change NBA 2K24 announced. In fact, along with this new system, NBA 2K is also introducing a new Season Pass feature. As many fans in the community know, enjoying the full NBA 2K experience typically requires you to put in some amount of funds into whatever game modes you prefer, and this year, NBA 2K24 is taking that to a new level.

For those that relish completing all the reward paths from each season and long for additional rewards should they achieve that milestone, the NBA 2K24 Season Passes will do you justice. What this new offer allows, is for fans who choose to purchase one of the Premium Season Passes to earn more rewards on their way to Level 40.

Once NBA 2K24 launches, fans will be able to find two Premium Season Pass options: The Pro Pass and Hall of Fame Pass. To provide you more clarity with how each pass option works, we provided a list of the perks each grants and additional rewards they offer.

NBA 2K24 Season Passes

Hall of Fame Pass$19.99 USD1. Includes everything in the Pro Pass
2. 15% XP Booster applied throughout the Season
10 Level Skips immediately applied to the Season reward track

Should you opt to do the Pro Pass and then decide you want the Hall of Fame Pass instead, you can upgrade your Pass simply by allocating an additional $9.99 USD. Or if you want to invest in one or two Level Skips, you will be able to spend $1.99 USD to go up each level. Keep in mind however that a player cannot purchase more than the total levels they have left to progress. So there’s limits to what you can do, and understandably so.

This is a big step in monetizing NBA 2K24 to a whole new level, and whether you deem either one of these passes worth it, is a choice you will have to make for yourself come 2K Day. The game isn’t free as is, and adding more money into it, is something that might be a deal breaker for some. But for those looking to relish the opportunity with making the most out of NBA 2K24, the Season Passes will cater just what you’re looking for.
