Best settings for NBA 2K24

The best settings in NBA 2K24 are going to give you a sharp edge over your opponents – to begin with, we’re going to go over what camera settings you’ll need to best track your players – in all different game modes. We’ll also pair these with settings for your controller so you’re not fighting against your itself. After that, while there aren’t that many, we’re going to be able to have a look at what graphics settings we can fiddle with to make sure the game is looking as good as possible.

There’s a few general settings you’re going to want to have set as we’ve configured:

  • Shot Feedback – All Shots
  • Motion Blur – 0

You can leave the rest of the general settings as is, but we’re going to cover controller, camera, and other settings below.

Best camera settings for NBA 2K24

For our NBA 2K24 camera settings, we’d recommend going with the standard 2K camera angle for most game modes. Your going to be viewing the game from a little far out, similar to other sports games where you’re going to be able to see most of your team alongside your opponents. Compared to the MyPlayer camera which is much closer to the actual player, you’re going to have a wider view of the pitch and better understanding of the game.

You’re going to be able to tweak your camera height and zoom to your own preference, though we think the default is suitable for most players to begin with. Once you’re a little more accustomed to the game, you might want to fiddle with it to suit your playstyle, however this height is perfect for defensive playstyles that also allow for offense.

Best controller settings for NBA 2K24

One of the key differences with NBA 2K24 and last year’s game is the Short Timing Visual Cue. Very Early, Early, Late, Very Late was the structure last year, though this is now Release, Jump, Set Point and Push. While the timings don’t line up identically, you’re going to be able to loosely translate them across versions of the game.

Now for the controller settings. There’s a few things to note, with the Jump Shot Meter off, you’re going to get a 20% increase to your shot success rate.

  • Vibration – ON
  • Shot Timing – Shots and Layups
  • Free Throw Timing – User Timing
  • Shot Timing Visual Cue – Set Point
  • Jump Shot Meter – Off
  • Layup Meter – On
  • Free Throw Meter – Off
  • Shot Meter Style – Comet
  • Shot Meter Location – By the Head
  • Shot Meter Size – Large
  • Shot Meter Color – Personal Preference
  • Perfect Release – On (Optional)

  • Pro Stick Defence – Absolute

Defense

For your offensive options – you’re going to want to get used to the above controller layout. In terms of actually customising these – you’re not going to be able to. When you’re in the controller settings menu, you’re going to be able to see all of the different moves in the game, for example you might be interested in defensive moves such as how to block.

Off Ball Defense

Similarly, the controller layout for off-ball defensive is set out as above.

Offense

Here are the above offensive options for NBA 2K24, which you should get familiar with if you’re looking for how to alley oop, how to lay up, and how to rebound.
