Will DMZ be in MW3 (2023)?

The status of DMZ in Modern Warfare 3 (2023) is still unclear. No overt mentions was regarding the game mode during the game’s announcement. However, despite the lack of any factual information surrounding DMZ’s possible return, we are likely to learn more soon.

Will MW3 zombies replace DMZ?

Alongside this, with the announcement that Modern Warfare 3 will incorporate a new zombie mode [MWZ], DMZ could possibly take a back seat with the new Call of Duty entry. MWZ will be an open-world PvE extraction mode that appears to resemble Outbreak from Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. However, it’s worth noting that MWZ acting as a replacement for DMZ is entirely speculative. It might even be the wrong decision should it replace the mode, as some MW3 fans hope devs won’t ruin Zombies mode by adding PvP.

Regardless, popular Call of Duty YouTuber MrDalekJD noted on Twitter that when at Sledgehammer Games, he asked if DMZ would be returning following the announcement of MW3 zombies. The YouTuber notes that the answer he received was, “We are not discussing the future of DMZ at this time”.
