How to get the Dog in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone

How to get the Dog in MW2 and Warzone

The newly added dog in MW2 and Warzone is named Merlin. You can get the dog by purchasing the game’s Season 5 Blackcell Battle Pass for $29.99/ £24.99. 

Merlin is among the various items that you will get after buying the Blackcell Battle Pass. Other items include: 

• Arthur Operator
• Merlin Tactical Pet
• Caliburn Tracer Weapon Blueprint
• Gwen Battle Buddy Screen
• New Dog Finishing Move

It’s worth noting that opposing players cannot harm your dog in any way. It is only there to help you navigate the battlefield and bark from time to time. 

How to make the Dog part of a Finisher in MW2

The only time your dog can get involved in battle is to make them part of a Finisher. Otherwise, they’re simply there to offer you companionship. 

You should also know that merely getting the dog won’t initiate the Finisher. You will need to equip Merlin as well as the Dog Finishing Move to make them part of a Finisher. 

While some might find the dog a bit pricey for a mere companion, Activision will be adding more Tactical Pets in future Call of Duty updates as well. So if you can’t get your hands on Merlin, more Tactical Pets are on the way.
