This guide will tell you how you can find and farm the Eroded Skeleton item in Monster Hunter Rise.

Where to Find Eroded Skeleton in Monster Hunter Rise

Monster Hunter Rise gives players 2 ways to get their hands on Eroded Skeletons. One is by collecting them at bonepiles and the other is by completing certain low-level quests.

Bonepiles

The best place to find the Eroded Skeleton item is by searching through bonepiles in the Sandy Plains during Low-Rank Quests or Expeditions. You can locate these bonepiles in areas 1, 4, 8, 9, and 12. To make it easier, you can change the map icons in Sandy Plains to show only bonepiles by pressing X and selecting the icon for bonepiles on Materials List 2.

Quest Drops

You can also obtain Eroded Skeleton as a reward for completing certain Hub and Village Quests in the game, such as:

  • Hub Quest (★2) – Dawn of the Kestodon
  • Village Quest (★3) – A Sandy Cabal
  • Village Quest (★3) – Walking on Eggshells
  • Village Quest (★4) – Deliver the Liver

The drop rate of Eroded Skeleton is listed as half a star, which ensures a set minimum drop with each clear.

How to Farm Eroded Skeleton in Monster Hunter Rise

Though you can have luck with Hub Quests and Village Quests that list Eroded Skeleton as a reward for completion, the best way to farm Eroded Skeleton is by visiting each of the bonepiles in the Sandy Plains during a Low-Rank Expedition.

It’s also helpful to check the locale info before heading out on an Expedition, as you can see if there’s an upsurge of bonepiles. Simply press R when selecting a Low-Rank Expedition to check. Just keep in mind that upsurges can change every 10 minutes or so.

You can refer to the map and highlight bonepiles to help plan your route each time. To help with this, you can also use your Palamute on these expeditions and have it use its ‘Sniff ’em Out!’ ability.

If you’re planning on farming this material, you should map out a farming route across the Sandy Plains and play low-level quests that allow you to collect them as quickly as possible.
