Similarly to that of the April Monthly Awards Program, MLB The Show 23’s May edition not only presents a variety of great Diamond players you can unlock directly from the reward path. But to add to it, the new May Monthly Awards Program also comes with its very own Online Event that contains different Diamond player prizes and rewards.

For those wondering which new players made the May Monthly Awards Program and how you can go about acquiring them, we’re here to assist you with just that. MLB The Show 23 May Monthly Award Program

The May Monthly Awards Program in MLB The Show 23 comes with a reward path that consists of 32 Tiers. All along the reward path, fans can unlock XP, The Show 23 Packs, Stubs and a variety of other cool prizes.

But the biggest reason why you’ll want to play through this program, is for the total of 12 May Monthly Rewards Choice packs – six 95 overall and six 97 overall – as well as the other 98+ overall Diamond players you can unlock.

Although MLB The Show 23 certainly makes you grind for these great rewards, securing these new players is actually a lot easier than it might seem. All fans need to do in order to progress their way through the May Monthly Awards Program rewards path, is complete tasks such as Missions, Moments, an Event, and an optional Collection set. On that note, here’s all the new Diamond stars that have arrived with the May Monthly Awards Program.

May Monthly Awards Captains Series Players (95 Overall)

Just like the April Monthly Awards Program, the May Program comes with two Captain Series players fans can secure at the beginning of the reward path.

May Monthly Awards Choice Pack (95 Overall)

There are six 95 overall May Monthly Award Choice Packs in the rewards path, allowing fans to earn all six of these Diamond players.

  3. Christopher Morel (CF) – Cubs
  4. Michael Wacha (SP) – Padres

May Monthly Awards Choice Pack (97 Overall)

There are six 97 overall May Monthly Award Choice Packs in the rewards path, allowing fans to earn all six of these Diamond players.

  3. Riley Greene (CF) – Tigers

Once you unlock all of the 95 and 97 overall May Monthly Award players, there are five additional 98 overall Diamonds available at Tiers 24, 25, 27, 28, and 29 of the reward path.

May Monthly Awards Lightning Player

MLB The Show 23 May Monthly Award Program

The ultimate prize for completing the May Monthly Awards Program, is securing the May Monthly Award Lightning player, New York Yankees right fielder and the 2022 AL MVP, Aaron Judge. Talk about a new meta, this 99 Overall Diamond Judge card comes with arguably one of the best sets of hitting attributes to go alongside a collection of fielding skills that are nearly all above 90.

Over the month of May, Judge really reminded everyone why he won the AL MVP Award last year, but also why he’s still very much in the discussion again this season. Posting a .342 average to end the month of May, Judge also had 12 home runs and 25 RBIs.

Accompanying the new program is that of the May Monthly Awards Event. For those that might need a refresher, Events is an online game mode in MLB The Show 23 Diamond Dynasty that caters limited time events which require you to secure wins in order to progress your way through its corresponding reward path.
