Although the new theme of Season 3 is the MLB All-Star Game, there’s a vast variety of other new content that arrived in Diamond Dynasty as well, including the all-new June Monthly Awards Program players.
The month of June was home to some incredible baseball, with a variety of different MLB players living up to their potentials and highlighting just how talented they can be. Following a stacked set of May Monthly Awards players that arrived in Season 2, MLB The Show 23 launched its third edition with Season 3 today, introducing a new set of Diamond players as well as the Lightening 99 overall star of June himself, Shohei Ohtani.

Similarly to the previous Monthly Awards releases, the June Monthly Awards Program in MLB The Show 23 has its own reward path that is made of up of 24 Tiers. Along the reward path, fans will find additional bonus prizes such as The Show 23 Packs and a new Red Lightening bat skin.
However, fans aiming to complete the June Monthly Awards Program are really after the Diamond players it comes with above all else. In order to unlock these new players, fans simply need to progress their way through the June Monthly Awards Program reward path by completing missions, moments, and other tasks it offers. Upon doing so, you will be able to collect the program stars needed to complete the reward path and secure the new players.

June Monthly Awards Captains Series Players
The June Monthly Awards Program comes with two Captain Series players fans can unlock right at the beginning of the reward path, each coming with a 95 overall rating.
- Ron Guidry (SP) – Yankees – Tier 1
- Charlie Blackmon (RF) – Rockies – Tier 2
If you’re aiming on building and playing with a June Monthly Awards theme team, these two Captain Series players are just for you and will grant you some excellent tier boots once you collect all of the program’s players.
June Monthly Awards Players (95 Overall)
There are a total of seven 95 overall June Monthly Award players in the reward path – four are located in the 95 Overall June Monthly Choice Pack while the remaining three are available at different tiers. There are four 95 OVR June Monthly Choice Packs (two each at Tiers 8 and 15), allowing fans to unlock all four of those players.

June Monthly Awards Players (97 Overall)
Similarly to that of the 95 overall June Monthly Award players in the reward path, there are six 97 overall players, four of which are in the 97 OVR June Monthly Choice Pack while the other two are located on separate tiers. Fans can unlock all four of the 97 OVR Choice Pack players seeing there are also four 97 OVR packs along the reward path.

June Monthly Awards Lightning Player
The biggest and best reward from the June Monthly Awards Program is unlocking the new 99 overall Lightning player it comes with, which is none other than Los Angeles Angels star two-way player, Shohei Ohtani. If there’s any player that owned the month of June, it’s Ohtani himself, who posted a .394 average with 15 home runs and 29 RBIs.
Although we’re only half way through the season, Ohtani has certainly solidified his position as the leading AL MVP candidate as he continues to defy the odds of talent in this league not only with his hitting but also with his pitching.
