No, Like a Dragon: The Man Who Erased His Name will not have an English dub option at launch. This feature will arrive later after the game’s release date of November 9. However, you can still enjoy the game with English subtitles. And since the game’s Japanese voice acting is phenomenal, you’ll still have a great time playing as Kiryu.
Despite this setback, it’s well worth playing the latest Like a Dragon title. While Like a Dragon Gaiden isn’t turn-based, it retains the charm of earlier titles and their combat mechanics. Its story is set around Kiryu, now codename “Joryu” as he works for the Daidoji faction. Expect plenty of foes and returning characters to face. We still don’t know about the motives of some of the characters as well. The Yakuza and Agent styles let you mix and match all sorts of devastating attacks. The new drone and electric wire-powered abilities are particularly potent.
