The Black Myth Wukong Digital Deluxe Edition includes:
- Weapon: Bronzecloud Staff
- Equipment: Folk Opera armour set
- Curio: Wind Chimes
- Selected Digital Soundtrack
After what feels like an eternity of waiting, one of the most highly-anticipated games of 2024, Black Myth Wukong is here. Like any AAA blockbuster these days, there isn’t just one version of the game to buy, with a Deluxe Edition gracing our stores as well – but should you actually buy it over the Standard Edition?
We’ll take you through what you get in the Deluxe Edition that you don’t get in the Standard Edition, what those extra items do, and whether we think it’s worth it for the price – let’s get into it.
Should you buy Black Myth Wukong Digital Deluxe Edition?
The short answer is, we don’t think so. The long answer is, of course, that it depends on how you personally value these items. The Deluxe Edition upgrade costs £10.00 / $9.99 / €10.00 on top of the base game. Here’s what you get in the Digital Deluxe Edition of Black Myth Wukong:
- Weapon: Bronzecloud Staff
- Equipment: Folk Opera Mask, Folk Opera Almsgiving Armor, Folk Opera Leather Bracers, Folk Opera Buskins
- Curio: Wind Chimes
- Selected Digital Soundtrack
In essence, the Deluxe Edition of the game gives you a pretty awesome-looking outfit in-game, as well as a decent starting weapon. But as you play the game, you’ll quickly find that you’ll find similarly strong weapons fairly early on, rendering the Bronzecloud Staff obsolete pretty quickly.
Essentially, if you want to get the cosmetic items and the soundtrack from the Deluxe Edition, and aren’t too worried about the cost, then it’s worth it. But if you were hoping to get some powerful unique weapons to use in your playthrough, then it’s really not worth spending the extra money on.
Even if you choose not to buy the Deluxe Edition from the start, there is a Deluxe Edition upgrade. This means that if you decide at a later date that you do actually want the Deluxe Edition items, you can buy that upgrade separately for £10.00 / $9.99 / €10.00 so you won’t have to miss out.
