As you explore the Tomb of Khentkawes as part of the Secret of the Queen Mother fieldwork, you’ll come across a document titled Desertion Report. Picking it up and reading it will trigger the A Thief’s Promise mystery, which tasks you with tracking down the location of the missing Nazi, Lukas Schwartz.

All we know from the document is that he’s been gone for four days and was last spotted in the desert west of the Khentkawes dig site along with an unidentified soldier. Going by these pretty vague clues, finding the Nazi is no easy task. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to find the missing Nazi in the A Thief’s Promise mystery in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Where to find the missing Nazi in A Thief’s Promise

To find the missing Nazi, you’ll need to visit a hidden underground chamber at the Water Pumping Station, west of the Tomb of Khentkawes in the southwestern corner of Gizeh, as marked on the map above. Once there, you’ll spot a large rock formation with a hole in the middle that leads down. Use your whip to let yourself down into a small network of corridors and chambers.

Head down the corridor ahead and grab the two-handed pickaxe melee weapon from the ground. Turn left and smash through the breakable wall. Go forward and follow the path round to find the missing Nazi’s body. There’s a mystery note on the tomb next to the body – the Dead Nazi’s Note – which details how a fellow soldier called Anton Ritter tricked Schwartz into stealing gold from Voss’ safe to hide it in this very tomb. A disagreement followed and Schwartz found himself trapped in the chamber after Anton destroyed the tunnel entrance. Anton left him to die.

Picking up the document will wrap up the A Thief’s Promise mystery and earn you 225 Adventure Points for the trouble. There’s also a lockbox on tomb that you can smash to get £100. As you leave the chamber, Anton will show up and try to kill you. Deal with him then exit the same way you came in.
