As you dive deeper into the funerary tomb of Khentkawes I in the south of Gizeh as part of the Secret of the Queen Mother Fieldwork, you’ll come across a curious mural blocking your path forward to a hidden chamber. There are three circular slots that appear to be housing for discs of a similar size of shape that act as a sort of key.

If you look around the chamber, you’ll notice three stone glyphs lying around that fit the slots like a glove. The trick is to place them in the correct order on the mural. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to solve the Secret of the Queen Mother mural puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Secret of the Queen Mother mural puzzle

To solve the mural puzzle, you’ll need to slot the fish stone glyph in the bottom slot, then the snake stone glyph in the middle slot, and finally the falcon stone glyph at the top. The three stone glyphs are scattered around the chamber. The fish glyph is on a table to the right as you enter the chamber. The snake glyph is on a wooden table on the left next to the Dig Report document. Finally, the falcon glyph is on the floor just below the mural at the back of the chamber.

Once you’ve gathered up all three stone glyphs and dropped them near the mural, you’ll need to place them. Looking at the mural, you’ll see that it depicts three vertical sections or tranches: the river or sea, the land or ground, and the sky or air. From here, you’ll need to deduce the typical environment where each of the animals represented on the glyphs live, as follows:

  • Fish – sea, bottom slot
  • Snake – land, middle slot
  • Falcon – sky, top slot

Place the stone glyphs in that order on the mural to complete the puzzle and trigger a light beam that points to a breakable wall in the corridor just outside the chamber. Grab the two-handed sledge  hammer leaning on the desk where you picked up the Dig Report and the snake stone glyph. Head to the wall and smash through it.

Crouch and squeeze through the tunnel into the Queen Mother’s hidden chamber. Pick up the Light Stele below the large hieroglyphs. Make your way back to Professor Omar to complete the Secret of the Queen Mother Fieldwork and earn an achievement of the same name and 375 Adventure Points.
