Space Marine 2 armor is a crucial feature that helps players survive the Tyranid and Chaos threat, as displayed by the white bars under under the red health bar in the top left of the screen. It’s an important resource to manage, regardless of whether you’re playing the Campaign, Operations, or Eternal War, as it makes all the difference for survivability. Once it depletes, you’ll start taking heavy health damage, so keeping it up is vital. Here’s everything you need to know to repair armor in Space Marine 2.
How to regen armor in Space Marine 2
To repair armor in Space Marine 2, you need to do one of the following:
- Exit combat for a period of time
- Execute an enemy
- Perfect parry an enemy
- Bulwark’s battle standard ability in Operations and Eternal War
Exiting combat will always regen your amour after a short delay, filing up to two bars. Getting away from enemies is easier said than done, but take the time to pause after big combat encounters to give your armor time to regenerate.
Executing enemies also restores armor. You’ll find Elites among swarms, including Tyranid Warriors, Nuerothorpes, Liktors, and more. When their health bars deplete, they’ll start glowing red. This indicates that you can perform a special Execute move by tapping E on PC, awarding the player with two bars worth of armor.
You can also get two bars worth of armor from perfect parrying an enemy, especially Swarm melee enemies. Any enemy that swarms you, such as the Homogaunt enemy can often make jumping melee attacks accompanied by a light blue circle. If you parry these enemies using the counter button just before the attack lands, then you can often perfect parry, kill them instantly (or take a big chunk of their health if there an Elite or a boss), and secure instant armor regen.
The final method, which is unique to Operations and Eternal War, is available when you play as the Bulwark class. The class’ special ability allows players to place a banner down. This restores the armor of nearby allies passively while the ability lasts.
Armor regen actions always restore the equivalent of two full bars. If your character has three armor bars, then you’ll need another repair to fill in the remaining bar.
It’s important to try and regen your armor whenever possible. In the Campaign, you have three bars, but the higher difficulty settings will churn through them. You’ll even feel the pinch in normal and easy modes if you’re not careful. Meanwhile, in Operations and Eternal War PvP, some classes have two armor bar and others three. Depending on the class, you’ll feel the strain much quicker so recoup whenever you get the opportunity.
