If Battle Royale isn’t enough for you, Fortnite Creative lets you build your own maps and game modes, whether that’s for you and your friends to mess around in, or if you want to try your hand at becoming a real map-maker.
And in the spirit of messing around, you might want to get access to the Main Island so you can explore it without the hustle and bustle of other players trying to kill you. That’s why we’ve put together this guide to help you get to the Main Island in Fortnite Creative.
Can you access Main Island in Fortnite Creative Chapter 5?
Unfortunately, as of April 2024, there is no way to access the Main Island through Fortnite Creative. In previous Chapters, players were able to directly access the island, and at the start of Chapter 5 there was a glitch available that let players access it by using Matchmaking Portals and certain codes.
Other options
While you can’t load up the full Main Island map, you can load up a smaller Tilted Towers or Greasy Grove island. It’s not ideal, but it’s better than nothing at all.
Annoyingly, this Matchmaking Portal glitch has since been patched, and in the months since, nobody seems to have come up with a way around this. That means that for the time being, there is no way to get to Main Island on Fortnite Creative, and we’ll just have to wait for a new method to drop.
It’s a frustrating situation, as being able to play on the Main Island with friends is a great option to have, letting players mess around with friends without having to worry about the storm or being killed by other players. For now, though, Fortnite Creative will just be there to make and publish new maps.
Hopefully, Epic Games will come around on this and make it so that players can freely access the Main Island in Fortnite Creative once more. But until then, you’re going to have to make do with exploring it under fire in Battle Royale.
