With the introduction of skins and emotes inspired by real-life celebrities and streamers, Fortnite has gone from being just a battle royale game to a cultural phenomenon since its start, especially through its Icon Series. Each of these characters brings their own special style to the game with their own set of outfits, cosmetics, pickaxes, and emotes that reflect their personality or special moves.
Not only do musicians and athletes work together in Fortnite, but the game also gives streamers like TheGrefg and Bugha in-game skins as a way to thank the backbone of its community. Sketch, a streamer famous for his energetic nature and memorable catchphrases, is the newest member to join the Icon Series with not one, but two emotes inspired by his iconic moves.
How to get What’s Up Sketch emotes in Fortnite
Fortnite is releasing two brand new Icon Series emotes in collaboration with Sketch called What’s Up Sketch? (Flap) and What’s Up Sketch? (Point). Both the emotes will be available in the in-game Item Shop and Fortnite Web Shop on the January 14th shop reset.
Furthermore, each of these will cost 400 V-Bucks each, meaning you’ll need to shell out a total of 800 V-Bucks to get them both. While the release date is still quite a couple of days away from now, streamers like NickEh30 and data miners have decrypted it on social media as fans are praising the results, but are expressing their concerns about the pricing.
One such fan wrote, “400 V-Bucks for this is insane.” Another chimed in, “400 each is abysmal these are 200 V-Bucks emotes all day.”
However, HYPEX has also mentioned that these emotes will also be sold in the form of a bundle, so it’s safe to say you can get it for a much lower price as a pair. Until then, check out more info on the next Fortnite update as Godzilla arrives on the island.
