The Nasty Plot TM can be acquired through 2 different methods, both of which are somewhat unconventional.

  1. Ms. Raifort’s History Classes

You can get a Nasty Plot TM by taking all history classes at the academy. This mission is required to complete the academy questline. Therefore it is the recommended way through which you should try getting a Nasty Plot TM.

  • Go to the academy and speak to the attendant at the front desk
  • Choose to take all history lessons
  • After completing all your quests, speak to Ms. Raifort in the staff lounge.

It is important to note that completing all of her lessons involves finding the Ominous Black Stakes scattered throughout the region and then tracking down each Legendary Pokémon.

  1. Area Zero

Fortunately, those looking to acquire the Nasty Plot TM a bit quicker can simply locate one in Area Zero. Simply follow the steps below: 

  • Go to Area Zero by using the Zero gate waypoint and choose Research Station 2
  • Exit the door, and when the game repositions you, go left and climb the wall behind Research Station 2
  • Climb or jump over a smaller rock formation as you continue up the mountain
  • Turn left, and you will find a yellow Pokéball with Nasty Plot (TM 140) near a rock against the wall
