1. Close the Valorant Client – Unlike other games, changing names does not occur inside Valorant itself. Start by ensuring that the Valorant client is closed.

2. Sign in to your Riot account – Simply head towards the official site of Riot Games and input your login credentials, username, and password to gain access. Take note that your in-game name is different from your username. 

3. Change your Riot ID and Tagline – Once logged in, head to the Riot ID tab at the top left to change your username. Rules to follow while changing your Valorant username
