Is Honkai Star Rail on PS4? Genshin Impact largely became so popular because of its success on the older PlayStation console. Of course, at that time, the PS5 was just about to come out, so it made sense to focus on that console at the time. Now that we are later in the cycle and the PS5 is much more prominent, is it a newer generation exclusive?

Is Honkai Star Rail on PlayStation 4?
Yes, Honkai Star Rail is releasing on the previous-gen PS4 along with the PS5, meaning players can place on both of the most recent Sony systems. However, Honkair Star Rail will only be available on mobile and PC initially, but is set to land on PlayStation later on. We have no confirmed date quite yet.
As stated above, Genshin Impact, the previous HoYoverse game, exploded in popularity largely because of its PlayStation status, so it’s not surprising that they would want to return. Some PlayStation fans might prefer that the game be entirely focused on the PS5 hardware, but given that it is a third-party company making the game, Sony doesn’t have much input in that area. It doesn’t appear that Honkai Star Rail is making any large leaps over Genshin Impact in the graphical or performance department, so we doubt that putting it on PS4 will hold back the PS5 version much, if at all.
The game is off to a great start on mobile platforms, with Honkai Star Rail topping the app store charts for pre-loads as people prepare for the game to release.
