Excitement for Honkai Star Rail – the new game from Genshin Impact studio Hoyoverse – appears to be at a high as preloads begin for the game’s initial PC and Smartphone launch.
The game is set to launch this week, on April 26, and already has reached number one of the Free Apps charts of the Apple Store “across multiple regions” according to the game’s social media accounts, which tweeted about the milestone over the weekend.
“Huge thanks for all your amazing support, Trailblazers!” read the message on the RPG’s official account to fans – which also arrived as the game also dropped a new trailer for one of the game’s incoming characters – Seele, also known as The Butterfly Tempest. The moody trailer showcases one of the most popular characters from the original Honkai Impact series, with fans ecstatic to see her inclusion in Star Rail.
“Seele is just the coolest” gushes sugarheartevo on the game’s Reddit. “I’ve always liked her a lot and her HSR version makes me even more fond of her; her design is so striking and her personality so fun.” – It seems as though she’ll be a “must-pull” for many fans, if comments on the trailer are anything to go by especially for long-term fans of the Honkai series.
With just a few days to go before the game’s initial launch, registrations have continued to stay high – meaning players are set to get a bunch of goodies that Hoyoverse are offering players for meeting their pre-registration goals, including a Star Rail Pass x20 and a 4-star character Serval for their trouble.
You can check out Seele – and the rest of the game’s cast in our Honkai Star Rail characters guide over here. The game itself is set to arrive on April 26 on PC, Android and iOS – and will also be available on PlayStation at a later, to be determined time.
