Here are all the 76 spots where you can find peyote plants in GTA Online. They’re spread across the map, meaning that there’s no one place to hunt for. You can even find them in city areas like Little Seoul and South Los Santos.
How to use a peyote plant in GTA Online
Head to one of these spots and your controller will vibrate, indicating the presence of a peyote plant. You can also hear the sound of the animal that this plant will transform you into. You’ll spot the green sphere of a plant with some white flowers as the controller vibrations increase in intensity. Here, press right on the D-pad to transform.
Don’t worry about the controls for each animal since they will be displayed on the top left of your screen. Press right on the D-pad once more if you want to turn back to a human. Alternatively, getting killed will do the trick too. You’ll also get a 5000 RP reward for doing this. The underwater ones are tougher to get so try to find the land-based ones near safehouses first.
In the single-player mode collecting the 21 land-based oeyote plants will unlock all the controllable animals and award the player the Cryptozoologist achievement. And there’s a golden peyote plant you can find after finishing The Last One mission and getting 100% progression in the game. This lets you turn into the elusive Sasquatch in Director mode.

Do peyote plants respawn in GTA Online
Yes, these hallucinogenic plants do respawn. Eaten plants will respawn in 24 hours of in-game time and can be consumed once more. That converts to about 48 minutes in real life. While you can roam the surrounding area for a while or do other missions till then, it’s quicker to just head to another location. There are 76 spots, after all. And not every player will be on a hunt for these plants.
