Looking for the best GTA 5 Online drift cars? Finding the best car for all purposes can be a challenge in GTA 5 Online. But when it comes to drifting, there are a few fan favorites that are a step above the rest. While there were more cars specialized in drift, the Mercenaries update removed 200 cars. We’ve reworked this list to give you the best drift cars currently in the game.

Here’s how to make money in GTA 5 Online to get enough for these drift wizards. And sell property in GTA 5 Online to raise even more capital. Now let’s get to the best drift cars.

Ranking the 5 best drift cars in GTA 5 Online

Based on our experience in the game, here are the top 5 drift cars in GTA 5 Online:

  • Dinka Jester RR
  • Annis Remus
  • Fathom FR36
  • Annis ZR350
  • Karin Futo GTX

Here are some alternative cars that are decent at drifting in GTA 5 Online with the right gear:

  • Declasse Drift Tampa (with Drift Tuning)
  • Declasse Drift Yosemite (with Drift Tuning)
  • Annis Euros (with Drift Tuning)
  • Grotti Turismo Omaggio
  • Karin Asterope GZ
  • Karin Vivanite
  • Vapid Dominator GT
  • Vapid Aleutian

While this list is subjective, don’t expect them to win races for you. These are highly adapted to drifting across most terrain in GTA 5 Online. Take them out for a spin and you’ll see your drifting improve by a significant margin. Now let’s get to the individual cars themselves and what they bring to the table.

Dinka Jester RR

Cost and Shop: $1,970,000 at Legendary Motorsport

This vehicle is basically Rockstar Games’ version of a Supra car. It’s eerily reminiscent of the fifth-generation Toyota GR Supra. This vehicle boasts a lot of customization options and yes, it is a tuner car. This means that you can apply drift builds to it, especially the Drift Tuning modification from the GTA Online Chop Shop update. It costs a cool $190,000 but it’ll have you sliding across the streets in no time. Lowered Vehicle Stance and Low Grip Tires are good additions as well to enhance your drift capabilities in drift races. Thanks to great handling, this vehicle is great at high speeds and for drifters as well.

Annis Remus

Cost and Shop: $1,370,000 at Southern San Andreas Super Autos

Added in the Tuner’s Update, this vehicle is another two-door sports coupe great for drifting. And it’s cheaper than the Dinka Jester RR. It’s a longer car too, making it a little tougher to slide past corners. But this additional challenge makes it even more thrilling to drift it. One easy way to get this car is the “Planning Work: Inside Man” contract mission. This lets you get the car without spending a dime.

Fathom FR36

Cost and Shop: $1,610,000 at Southern San Andreas Super Autos

Hot out of the Chop Shop DLC, this one is among the more consistent drift cars in the game. As one of the newer entries of the drift segment, the Fathom FR36 is a good pick with solid customization options. It’s not the absolute champ of drift races but boy does it come really close. While some players believe this one’s the ruler of the streets when it comes to drifting, they might think twice after checking out the next two options.

Annis ZR350

Cost and Shop: $1,615,000 at Legendary Motorsport

While its poor traction makes it hard to use, the Annis ZR350 has some impressive drifting potential. Consider a larger spoiler to tackle rear downforce on this one. It’s a costly one but it’s amazing at drifting while being pretty lightweight. I might have picked this as the best drift car but the next one beats it in price while being a smaller car as well. Lower stances and engine upgrades in GTA V will let you drift across the streets of Los Santos without a hassle.

Karin Futo GTX

Cost and Shop: $1,192,500 at Southern San Andreas Super Autos

This car is featured at the top of most drift car lists for good reason. It’s great at drifting right from the start. And with the new Drift Tuning modification, it’s an absolute monster in drift races thanks to its stability. That’s before the reasonable price tag enters the picture. Its smaller shape makes it easier to weave through traffic or opponents. This also lets you swerve past corners more easily without slowing down. It’s easily our top pick when it comes to the best drift car in GTA 5 Online.

Look near Rockford Hills, LSIA, the port of Los Santos, and the Pitchers bar to steal this fine car without paying money for it. Drift at top speeds with this sports car purchase and the right upgrades. Just remember that a top speed of 83.8 MPH is nothing to write home about.

Not all cars support the Drift Tuning modification

If you’re serious about improving your drifting capabilities, stick to cars that have this option in GTA 5 Online.
