How to get Acid Lab in GTA Online

The Acid Lab is part of the Drug Wars DLC for GTA Online and is a great way to earn money in the game without the hassle of doing much. This is why most players don’t mind doing the one-time struggle to unlock it. However, like most businesses, you cannot simply purchase the Acid Lab from the interactive menu, and it will take some work in order to buy it.

How to unlock the Acid Lab

The GTA Online Acid Lab is a Brickade 6×6 truck that has been converted into a mobile drug lab. It’s an important part of the GTA Online Los Santos Drug Wars DLC. The Acid Lab business is a bit more complicated than other businesses since you won’t be able to buy it directly. Instead, you’ll have to earn it by completing six missions, also called First Dose missions, which also means that unlocking the Acid Lab will be pretty cheap compared to other passive businesses.

What are the First Dose Missions in GTA Online?

You’ll get access to the Brickade 6×6 after doing the first Dose mission, which is a truck trailer in which you’ll be conducting your drug operations. After updating the game, you’ll get a phone call from Ron Jakowski informing you of a new gang activity in Sandy Shores. Accepting Ron’s call will spawn a new mission in the Ace Liquors store. The first mission can be found on the northern part of the map near Blank County, marked as an R which stands for Ron Jakowski. The rest of the five missions can be done at the Freak Shop in the city, which is marked as a D marker, standing for Dax. Here’s a list of the missions you need to complete:

First Dose Missions walkthrough

This series of missions starts off with a cutscene that introduces the members of the Fooliganz gang. The gang leader will then task you with killing The Lost MC members and finding his Journey II RV. You can then pick him up and drop him and the vehicle in the Freakshop in Lost Santos. You can proceed with the other first-dose series missions after this.

Upon completion of these missions, your character will steal chemical supplies from the Humane Labs and Research Center in Blaine County. You’ll then get to steal the MTL Brickade 6×6 by derailing a Merryweather train and storing it in the Freak Shop. Stealing it means that you have to contend with Merryweather Securities, guards equipped with choppers and SUVs.

From the Freak Shop, you’ll have to complete one mission where you steal equipment in Los Santos and complete a short setup mission. Once you’ve done that, you can finally buy the Acid Lab. Speak to Mutt near the truck and pay the GTA$750,000 fee to install the lab equipment. This is free if you subscribe to GTA+.

How to use the Acid Lab

The Acid Lab operates in the same manner as any other business in the game. You’ll need to accumulate supplies and then keep resupplying your Acid Lab to ensure it keeps generating wealth for you passively. While any truck upgrades also apply to the Acid Lab, unlock Equipment Upgrades for the business by completing ten Fooligan Jobs.

Supplies for the Acid Lab cost GTA$60,000 each. Resupply three times to get a full stock unless you upgrade your equipment. This equipment upgrade costs GTA$250,000 but it’s a wise investment. It bumps up the sale value of a full supply from GTA$237,500 to GTA$335,200. You’ll also get a high-demand bonus when selling in public sessions. Consider that extra incentive as you’ll have to bear the risk of other players interfering with your produce.

Sell missions have a decent degree of variety to them. The single-drop ambush sell mission might be frustrating for players. Placing sticky bombs near undercover cop cars before entering the parking area helps. Equipping and un-equipping glasses reduce the wanted level by 1 star when it blinks. As for the 5 drop mission, each location has 3 stash options but only 1 is hidden from the undercover cops.

How to upgrade the Acid Lab

To upgrade the Acid Lab, you will need to complete ten of Dax’s Fooligan missions to get the equipment upgrade. We recommend getting the upgrade, as this will maximize production and profits. You can call Dax to request missions and he will assign one randomly to you. Complete ten of these to unlock the upgrade, then go to Mutt at workbench and buy the equipment upgrade for $250k.
