Gran/Djeeta, Katalina, Cagliostro, Ferry, Eugen, and Io are all the characters who have a party-wide healing ability. The issue is that none of these characters are dedicated healers, and two of these five are the only characters who have a Revive spell to help downed allies.

To this end, you could argue that Cagliostro and The Captain are the best healers in Granblue Fantasy: Relink. But let’s take a look at each of these characters as assess their healing capabilities and why we think they are the best healers in Granblue Fantasy: Relink.

Gran/Djeeta

  • Healing skill: Panacea
  • Healing skill: Revive
  • Healing skill: Clarity

The Captain, as either Gran or Djeeta, has access to a plethora of healing spells and support abilities. As one of the few characters with the ability to revive downed party members with a spell, you could consider them to be top-tier as a healer. Generally, the Captain is a fantastic all-rounder, letting you throw down a strong party-wide heal and AoE revive, while also being a frontline fighter.

Panacea can be used at any time and it has a fairly low cooldown. Despite this, you can use it to throw out strong heals whenever you want. As with all the Captain’s abilities, it can be more potent if you use it at a higher Arts level. You can hold and aim Panacea and Revive. There’s no real point in waiting for Revive to have a higher Arts level since it will only restore more HP upon reviving.

If you want yet another healing skill from the Captain, you can use Clarity. Clarity is a spell that grants Regen and also removes debuffs from your allies in a huge area. While not the most potent heal, having the debuff clear and Regen is extremely helpful.

Cagliostro

  • Healing skill: Reinforce
  • Healing skill: Rhizomata

Cagliostro is identical to the Captain, in that she has a heal and revive spell. Both of these spells work exactly the same as Revive and Panacea, so it gives you another option when thinking about which party members to bring with you and how to juggle any downed characters. While it’s generally better to bring only one AI-controller party member with revive, you could use either Cagliostro or the Captain with this skill, so long as you control one of these characters. Otherwise, you run the risk of the AI party members both wasting their revive on one person.

Reinforce is another fantastic healing spell and should always be equipped to Cagliostro. While you do always have a healthy supply of potions, keeping characters with strong healing is always recommended. It should be noted that Rhizomata is only unlocked a long way down her Mastery tree.

Katalina

Katalina uses Heal

  • Healing skill: Heal

Katalina could be the best healer in Granblue Fantasy: Relink, but only because of how her Ares mechanic works in battle. If you use an ability while Katalina has the Ares gauge at max, Ares will bolster the skill being used. Generally, this is best used with offensive abilities, but if you use Heal while Ares is summoned, the HP restoration will be massive.

In terms of raw HP restoration, Katalina has everyone beat by a long shot. With that said, Ares also bolsters Katalina’s offensive skills, so it’s up to you whether or not you want more DPS or a huge party-wide heal. This flexibility makes Katalina one of the best healers and characters in Relink. Heal cannot be aimed like Reinforce or Panacea, but it does have a large radius from Katalina’s position.

Rosetta

  • Healing skill: Bouquet

Rosetta has access to one healing skill later in the game, and it can be extremely powerful in the right circumstances. When you use Bouquet, Rosetta will plant the maximum number of roses in front of her.

Any roses you have planted will increase in level and be moved to a new position. If your characters stand near the roses, you will be healed for a fixed amount. Better yet, this healing skill is one of the only heals in the game that can remove debuffs and heal at the same time. While Djeeta’s Clarity skill does technically heal as well, its effect is only Regen whereas Bouquet is an actual heal that will restore more HP at once.

Io

  • Healing skill: Healing Winds

As the resident mage of the party, Io’s healing is sadly underwhelming. Healing Winds isn’t an instant HP restoration but is a healing-over-time ability. Healing Wind places down a large circle of healing, and it will persist for a long time, slowly restoring a tick of HP every few seconds to characters who stand in it. While great to keep everyone topped off, you need potent burst healing from the likes of Katalina, Cagliostro, or the Captain to save someone at dangerously low HP.

Ferry

  • Healing skill: Benediction

Ferry is one of the characters in Granblue Fantasy: Relink who is almost certainly geared towards offence rather than being a healer. With that said, she has a host of support abilities that help your party out, and one of them is a healing spell that provides an HP restoration, Regen, Defence up, and Attack up effect to allies near Ferry.

The extra effects of Benediction will depend on how many pets she has summoned on the field, with the max being three. You don’t need three pets for Benediction to be great, which is why it gets a mention on this list. Benediction is generally best for Ferry if she’s caught out away from party members and needs a heal. With that in mind, it can spread to other allies which makes is a potent ability.

Eugen

  • Healing skill: Healing Bullet

Eugen is a mixed bag in Relink. He doesn’t do particularly well when compared to other Earth-type characters, and his DPS is slow due to how his aiming mechanic works out. With that said, he is a fairly decent support with the right skills. Healing Bullet is a very strong AoE heal that can help you and your allies out in a pinch.

As one of the main cast of characters you can use from the beginning, he is there to fill the support and healing role if you don’t use Katalina or have the Panacea skill active on the Captain. Healing Bullet is mostly outperformed by other heals, but it certainly doesn’t hurt to have if you love using Eugen in your teams.

What about other characters?

There are other characters in Relink who can provide a healing effect, but mostly these are small Regen buffs, healing that only targets one character, or grants healing to you based on your attack.

As you can see, there is really no dedicated healer in Granblue Fantasy: Relink at the moment. What you have instead is flexible characters who can fill more than one role in a fight, which is arguably better than being rigid with their skills. To this end, the onus is on you to figure out which healer is best suited for each of your teams, and how many people you want to take into a fight that has the Revive spells.
