Genshin Impact 4.1 release date has now been confirmed by HoYoverse. The date was revealed during the 4.1 live stream, which also confirmed the first and second-phase 4.1 banners, a new area, and what more we can expect in Genshin 4.1. New characters Wriothesley and Neuvillette will lead each phase of the Genshin Impact 4.1 banners. The first banner will start with Neuvillette and phase two of 4.1 features Wriothesley.

We also know the release of Genshin Impact 4.1 will coincide with Genshin Impact’s third-anniversary celebrations, featuring several rewards and a login bonus. Make sure you get any promo codes using our Genshin Impact codes guides. Now, on to the release date.

Genshin Impact 4.1 release date

Genshin Impact 4.1 will release on Wednesday, September 27. This date has now been officially confirmed through a live stream for patch 4.1. Since the current patch 4.0 banners will end on September 26, we know that the release date will be the day after that. The Genshin Impact 4.1 livestream aired on September 15, which revealed all the new information about patch 4.1

Genshin Impact 4.1 will run for about 40 days, lasting until November 8. We can expect phase one of patch 4.1 to run from September 27 until October 18, which will then begin the start of Phase two of patch 4.1.

Genshin Impact 4.1 banners – Wriothesley and Neuvillette

Wriothesley and Neuvillette have been confirmed to lead the Genshin Impact 4.1 banners when they go live with the release of Genshin Impact 4.1. There are only two new characters coming in 4.1, while characters Hu Tao and Venti are getting re-runs: Neuvillette (5*) and Wriothesley (5*).

Both of these characters have been confirmed to lead the Genshin Impact 4.1 banners during the 4.1 live stream. The Genshin Impact Twitter officially revealed Wriothesley and Neuvillette, alongside images on the official Instagram account showing their splash art and giving some background information about the characters. Several leaks also pointed towards Wriothesley and Neuvillette being the featured characters for Genshin Impact 4.1. We can expect the Genshin Impact 4.1 banner phases to go live on the following days:

  • Genshin Impact 4.1 banner phase one – September 27, 2023
  • Genshin Impact 4.1 banner phase two – October 18, 2023

Genshin Impact 4.1 banner – Neuvillette

Neuvillette will lead the Genshin Impact 4.1 banners alongside Hu Tau. He is someone we encounter in the 4.0 Archon Quest. He’s the chief justice of Fontaine and not someone you want to mess with. While his element hasn’t officially been confirmed, it is a safe assumption that he will use the power of Hydro, being so closely involved with Furina, the Hydro Archon. With that said, he has no visible Vision on him, which is certainly curious in the world of Genshin.

  • Weapon – Catalyst
  • Vision – Hydro
  • Rarity – 5-Star

Neuvillette will be on the first banner in Genshin Impact 4.1, starting September 27, 2023. Earlier leaks suggested we would see Pryo DPS Hu Tao and Venti, the Anemo Archon, run alongside Neuvillette and Wriothesley when Genshin Impact 4.1 releases, and these have been proven correct.

Now that Neuvillette’s banner has ended, Wriothesley is leading phase two of Genshin Impact’s 4.1 banners alongside Venti. Wriothsley’s banner switched over on Tuesday, October 17 and it will be live for the next 20 days. Wriothesley is the first male Cryo Catalyst user in the game, and his attack animations are similar to the four-star Heizo where he attacks using swift punches and jabs. Wriothesley is effectively the chief of police in Fontaine, and he was heavily involved in the Genshin Impact 4.1 story quest during this patch.

  • Weapon – Catalyst
  • Vision – Cryo
  • Rarity – 5-Star
