If you’re very eager to get a headstart in the upcoming racer, you may be wondering when is the Forza Motorsport early access?

It’s become something of a tradition now for the last few Forza games to allow players who pick up the game’s special editions a few days headstart of the Forza Motorsport release date, and the latest entry is no exception.

So if you’re a Forza fan who’s raring to go ahead of the standard launch, and you don’t mind forking out a little extra, here’s everything you need to know if you want to get behind the wheel before all your friends and play the game early. If you want to know when you can download the new game, however, then check out our Forza Motorsport preload guide. As for our impressions of the game, here’s our Forza Motorsport review.

But to find out when you can actually get your keys in the ignition, read on.

Forza Motorsport early access start date

Forza Motorsport early access begins five days before the game’s official release date. That means you’ll be able to start playing from October 5, 2023. You’ll be able to experience the new game’s latest features, like the gorgeous visuals and the living tracks with their dynamic time-of-day changes ahead of those awaiting the game’s standard edition.

Forza Motorsport early access how to take part

If you’re wanting to play Forza Motorsport earlier than the usual release date and take part in early access, it’s fairly simple. All you have to do is own the Premium Edition of the game. Early access is NOT granted in the Forza Motorsport Standard or Deluxe Editions. It’s the most expensive version only, we’re afraid. (Though you’ll also get the other Premium Edition goodies, such as the Car Pass and the Race Day car pack too.)

However, if you are an owner of one of the game’s lower tier editions like the Standard or the Forza Motorsport Deluxe edition, you can still take part in the early access period by picking up the Premium Add-Ons Bundle. The same goes if you’re wanting to play in Early Access but are intending to pick up Forza Motorsport on Xbox Game Pass. You can find out how to do this in our handy Forza Motorsport how to Upgrade to Premium Edition guide

Hopefully that should be all you need to know to get a lovely little headstart on Forza Motorsport which is to release on Xbox Series X|S and PC via both Steam and the Microsoft Store – but stay tuned for more of the latest updates.
