Megalo Don
- Megalo Don is one of the three bosses in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3
- He is located at the Brutal Beachhead in the south of the map, alongside several minions
- When defeated, he drops Megalo Don’s Medallion, Megalo Don’s Nitro Fists and Megalo Don’s Combat Shotgun
Along with the release of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3, Epic Games have introduced a set of all-new bosses to go with the Mad Max-esque vehicle theme. One of these bosses is Megalo Don and his Wasteland Warriors, and they’ve got some pretty great rewards for beating them.
We’ve put together this guide to tell you what you need to know about Megalo Don, including where to find him, how to beat him and what rewards he has so you know what to expect for taking him down.
Megalo Don location in Fortnite
Megalo Don is located at Brutal Beachhead in the southern area of the map. He’ll just be walking around outside the main building (we found him just to the east). Once you find him, you can engage him and all you need to do is kill him to receive the rewards. We recommend taking care of his minions first, if there are any nearby, just to make the fight a bit easier.
Megalo Don rewards
Beating Megalo Don will give you a bunch of pretty powerful rewards, the best of which is the Megalo Don Medallion. This Medallion will give you infinite Nitro in exchange for showing your location on the map. This means you’ll get all the benefits including faster movement and reload speed, without the chance of it running out.

As well as this, you’ll receive Megalo Don’s Nitro Fists, the Mythic version of the Nitro Fists, the melee weapon added in this season, and Megalo Don’s Combat Shotgun, a powerful Mythic shotgun. It’s well worth defeating him to get these weapons as they’re incredibly powerful, especially when combined with the Medallion.
Lastly, you’ll be able to steal one of the vehicles from Megalo Don and his Wasteland Warriors. As well as coming equipped with a variety of powerful Vehicle Mods from the start, they all also have infinite Nitro, so it’s worth your time to take one with you.
How to beat Megalo Don in Fortnite
To beat Megalo Don, you’ll need to be fully prepared before you go in. That means full shields and a fully-loaded weapon of your choice, as he is capable of dealing pretty significant damage if you aren’t careful. We would recommend an assault rifle but use what you feel most comfortable with.
Make sure not to get too close to him. He wields a shotgun and Nitro Fists, making him incredibly dangerous at close range. Instead, look to deal damage from afar, and seek cover if and when you need to reload.
If his minions show up, be sure to take them out as fast as you can so you can get back to focusing on Megalo Don. Chip away at his shields and then his health bar, and if you’re hitting your shots it shouldn’t take too long before he goes down and you can collect your rewards.
