Fortnite live event release date – FAQ

What is a Fortnite live event?

A Fortnite live event is a unique experience that happens at least once a year. It’s an in-game event that is connected to the storyline and is usually used to introduce players to new seasons or chapters.

What do I need to do to attend a live event?

You will need to get into Fortnite at least 30 minutes before the event starts. Considering that millions of players attend events, you will have to reserve your spot. After that, you need to join a new game mode that will be active for the event.

I cannot attend a live event, what should I do?

If you cannot attend a live event in Fortnite, you can watch it on Twitch, YouTube, and other streaming platforms. Many content creators will also upload a video of the event that you can watch later.

Will there be a downtime after the event?

While Epic Games hasn’t confirmed it, we expect a downtime of at least eight hours. Fortnite Chapter 5 will begin after the event, which is why a longer downtime is not out of the question.
