Is For Honor crossplay or cross-platform? After initially being released in 2017, Ubisoft’s historical slash ’em up continues to boast a devoted player base as the game’s exciting combat and bevy of available game modes ensures that the experience rarely goes stale.
Now, even though this action-heavy entry includes a single-player campaign, its multiplayer modes are mainly what’s kept this game relevant through all these years. So if you’re looking to join in on the skull-bashing fun with players on other consoles, then here’s what you need to know about For Honor’s crossplay functionality.
Does For Honor have crossplay?
Yes, For Honor has crossplay, so you can take on players across different platforms including the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
It is worth noting, though, that Ubisoft didn’t originally include cross-platform play with For Honor at launch. It was only introduced in 2022 when the game’s fan base had dwindled to a certain amount. Naturally, a lower player count would have meant longer matchmaking times if lobbies were console exclusive. With the eventual addition of crossplay functionality, however, this issue was immediately addressed by the developers.
Can you turn off crossplay in For Honor?
Yes, you can turn off crossplay in For Honor. To do so, simply follow these steps:
- Start up the game and head to the main menu.
- Open the in-game menu.
- Head over to the Options tab and select the Online category.
- Navigate over to the Crossplay field and untick the box to opt out of it.
