How to reach each Gongaga Phenomenon Intel in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Gongaga is a confusing region with many ups and downs. Because of this, you might have a hard time reaching each of the Protorelic locations in the region. Let’s break down how to reach each location as well as what you can expect to find in each.

Gongaga Phenomenon Intel 1: Turks Training – Training Facility V-B

The first of the Protorelic locations in Gongaga is in the southern part of the region near the facility on the overworld map. To reach this area, you will want to enter from the road to the east of it that leads down past the Moogle Emporium. This is also located near the Cliffside Storehouse Cache location.

This Phenomenon Intel is the simplest of them all and involves basic Turks training. In this VR battle simulator, you will find some basic fiends. Completing the objective will allow you to move on to the next relic.

The second protorelic in Gongaga is located in the northeast of the map. There is a Chocobo Stop to the south of this intel location that you can use to easily reach it. You can also use your Chocobo to hop on the mushrooms to reach the opening of this facility. There is also a rope that leads down to the entrance.

Inside this training center, you will face off against more fiends in a simulation. The fiends will be a bit tougher this time but it shouldn’t be anything you can’t handle at this point in the game.

Gongaga Phenomenon Intel 3: His Personal Escorts – Training Facility W-T

The third intel location is in the far north near where you first entered the region from the Corel Region. Make your way to Gongaga Port and head south across the man-made bridge. This will lead to the next training facility. In this facility, you will no longer be fighting fiends and will instead fight various Shinra troops and robots.

Gongaga Phenomenon Intel 4: The Deadliest Game – Training Facility B-T

The final Gongaga intel is located to the south of the Gongaga Airstrip on the western side of the region. Unfortunately, you cannot access this area through the airstrip. Instead, you need to go to the Gongaga Ruins to the south of the intel. From there, head north through the ruins to find a Chocobo Stop.

This is the toughest of the combat simulations you will go through. For this fight, you must take down Elena and Rude. Once you have done this, you will be named an honorary Turk and get the trophy for completing the relic in this area.

Rude and Elena’s weaknesses

Elena is the weaker of the two Turks members. Because of this, you should consider taking her down first. Rude and Elena are weak to wind and lightning. Thanks to this, you can exploint their weaknesses by using the Thunder and Aero spells.
