Between Career Mode and Ultimate Team, you could very happily spend the entirety of FC 25 playing on your own, but where’s the fun in that? FC is a series that’s at its best when you’re playing with your mates, and to do that, you’ll need to know how to add and invite them to your games. We’ve put together a quick guide to take you through how to do this, so no matter what game mode you’re playing, you’ll be able to quickly and easily join in with your friends for a few matches whenever you want.
How to add and play with friends in FC 25
Since FIFA 23, players have been able to use EA Play to connect and play with friends regardless of what platform they’re using. Assuming you already know how to play online, all you need to do to play a game with your mates is follow these steps:
- From the main menu, press RT (Xbox) / R2 (PlayStation) to open the EA Social Hub
- Your friends will be shown in the ‘Friends’ tab
- To add a new friend, navigate to the ‘Player Search’ tab and enter your friend’s EA ID. You can see your own ID on the right-hand side of this tab
- Once you have your friend added, from the ‘Friends’ tab, select their name and then select the option to invite them to a lobby
- Once your friends have all joined the same lobby, you can now play with or against them in any of the compatible game modes in FC 25
As previously mentioned, FC 25 has full crossplay support, so even if you and your friends are all playing on different consoles, you’ll still be able to join a lobby together via EA Play – just make sure you’ve all got the relevant subscriptions to enable online play in the first place.
