FC 24 Team of the Year (TOTY) is here, with the promo taking over FUT! It has given us some truly incredible cards through the Team of the Year Men’s and Women’s XIs.
The celebrations haven’t stopped there! TOTY Icons have appeared once again, as have the TOTY Honourable Mentions players.
There is plenty to get stuck into, with Flashback and Player Moments items, new Evolutions, Objectives, and plenty of SBCs also released! Find out everything you need to know about the TOTY promo in FC 24 Ultimate Team below.

FC 24 TOTY release date and schedule
The official announcement from EA for the Team of the Year release date matched our predicted date from the start of the season!
The TOTY release date in FC 24 Ultimate Team was January 19.
As we’ve seen in previous years, the squad will be released in stages over a couple of weeks. The TOTY release schedule is as follows:
- 19/01 – 21/01: TOTY Attackers
- 19/01 – 23/01: TOTY Icons Team 1
- 21/01 – 23/01: TOTY Midfielders
- 23/01 – 25/01: TOTY Defenders and Goalkeeper
- 23/01 – 26/01: TOTY Icons Team 2
- 25/01 – 02/02: Full TOTY XIs
- 26/01 – 02/02: TOTY 12th Players and TOTY Honourable Mentions
- 28/01 – 02/02: TOTY Icons Team 1 & 2
Team of the Year start time
The Team of the Year start time was 1pm ET / 6pm GMT. EA added the new cards to packs at this usual time, as with most other promos.
Each time there is a new set of cards released, they will come at this time. Additional items will be released via Objectives and SBCs throughout the campaign.

EA has now revealed all the cards from the FC 24 Men’s TOTY and Women’s TOTY final sides! The leakers proved to be correct once again, with all the players given the upgrade already named across socials.

TOTY Evolutions
Newly introduced to FC 24 Ultimate Team, Evolutions have brought a fresh dimension to the game. Individually, these can give your favourite players a nice little boost. However, their real power comes in being able to stack combinations of EVOs onto one player, with some incredible outcomes already found in-game!
During the Team of the Year promo, the following Evolutions have been released:

TOTY 12th Player
A staple of the Team of the Year promo is the TOTY 12th Player vote. This is decided solely by FUT fans from a selection of three players put forward by EA.
The 12th Player also gains a full TOTY upgrade, putting them on the same level as some of the best cards in the game! This year you were able to make two selections, one for the men’s side and another for the women’s TOTY.

TOTY Vote
Before the Team of the Year is released, fans could vote on who should make the final XI. There were over 140 nominees from the men’s and women’s game, made up of goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and attackers.
By visiting the official EA website, fans could vote on who they wanted to see included in the XIs. From the nominees, you were able to select one goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders, and three attackers.
TOTY voting started on January 8, at 11am ET / 4pm GMT. It closed on January 15, at 2:59am ET / 7:59am GMT.

FC 24 TOTY
Team of the Year is an annual promo in Ultimate Team, giving the best players from the previous calendar year huge boosts in celebration of their performances. These will be some of the highest-rated cards of the FUT campaign and could stay in your side until the end of the season!
EA releases a shortlist of players they think performed the best during 2023, fans vote for their favourite 11, which could then influence who EA selects for the final squad. As well as the main XI, an extra 12th Player will be given a TOTY upgrade, based solely on the fan vote.
We’ve seen women introduced in Ultimate Team for the first time in EA Sports FC 24, with a Women’s TOTY XI also coming this year! That means even more top-tier players will be available to pack.
The Men’s TOTY and Women’s TOTY won’t be the only special cards released during the event. As we saw last year, TOTY Icons have returned, as have the regular TOTY Honourable Mentions, which is made up of 11 players that just missed out on the Final XI.
Expect to see additional TOTY Icons, TOTY Honourable Mentions, Flashback, and Player Moments cards released via SBCs and Objectives too! Then, there will be the regular upgrade SBCs and pack rewards on offer through Objectives, to give you ample opportunity to gain one of the new items.
TOTY items and some TOTY Honourable Mentions will also have two PlayStyle+ abilities! This really takes the card to the next level and could be the new meta to adjust to over the coming months.

When is TOTY in FC 24?
The FC 24 Team of the Year started being released on January 19.
When do all the TOTY players come out in packs?
The full Men’s TOTY and Women’s TOTY squads came out on January 25. At this point, all 22 Team of the Year items were available in packs. Then, on January 26, the TOTY 12th Players and TOTY Honourable Mentions squad also came out in packs.
How many players are in TOTY?
The Team of the Year squad will consist of one goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders, and three attackers, with an additional 12th Player selected. With a men’s and women’s side coming in FC 24, there will be 24 TOTY items.
