FC 24 – How to do power shots

Power shots are included in some of the PlayStyles too. With that in mind, we’re taking a look at how to perform, and master, the power shot in FC 24.

How to do power shots in FC 24

The Power Shot is a relatively new addition to the FIFA series that has taken some time to get used to. It pretty much does what it says on the tin, setting in play an animation in which your player prioritises power. 

Overall, it’s been a welcome addition to the game but it does take some time to master. 

To perform a power shot in FC 24:

• Xbox: Hold down RT + LT + Press  B
• PlayStation: Hold Down R2 + L2 + Press O

Power shots do not have the luxury of being guided by assisted shooting, a default setting that helps keep shots on target in FC 24. Instead, the trajectory of the shot is manual and requires you to be accurate with your placement of the left stick. 

Failing to be accurate with the left stick could see your shoot balloon out of the stand, or even cannon out for a throw-in. Power shots can be incredibly effective and it’s important to remember accuracy when taking them on. 

Naturally, you’ll also want to be taking this kind of strike with players like CR7 and Haaland, rather than centre-backs and full-backs. The arena is a great place to practice your skills and mastering the power shot could see your skill level rise to the next tier in FC 24.
