Find out how to change your difficulty settings in FC 24 and find the version that best suits your style.
How to change difficulty in FC 24
There are a number of difficulty tiers now implemented into offline play in FC 24, they are:
- Amateur
- Beginner
- Semi-Pro
- Professional
- World Class
- Legend
- Ultimate
Out of these, it’s important to understand where you sit in order to get the most enjoyment out of the game. Thankfully, FC 24 will provide you with prompts if it believes you need to change your difficulty level. It’s also important to note that difficulty levels only exist in offline and local play, meaning you cannot toggle the difficulty of the game when playing online.
In order to change your difficulty level, all you need to do is:
- Navigate to the ‘Customise’ tab
- Select Settings
- Then select Game Settings
- In the ‘Game’ section, you will see the Difficulty level
Changing your difficulty level can only be done before entering a game, either in the main menu or in the Career Mode settings menu. You cannot change your difficulty mid-match in FC 24.
As mentioned above, it’s important to find the difficulty level that best suits your play-style, as you don’t want to overshoot and end up frustrated with a string of poor results.
If the highest setting isn’t challenging enough, you can also utilise sliders to make the game even more challenging, increasing and decreasing certain attributes however you see fit.
