FC 24 FS Academy Defenders Evolution – How to complete and best players to upgrade

Another Evolution has dropped in FUT 24! This guide looks at the FS Academy Defenders Evolution in FC 24 Ultimate Team. 

We’ve seen the new Future Stars Academy EVO system already with the FS Academy Attackers Evolution, so now it’s time for the defenders to get involved! Once again, every FUT account has been gifted a FS Academy Defenders Pack – this time with the same 11 players – yet you can only pick two to boost! How to complete FS Academy Defenders Evolution

Completing the FS Academy Defenders Evolution in FC 24 Ultimate Team will take a minimum of 20 matches. There are three levels to the Evolution, each with its own upgrade. The Evolution is free to unlock.

Level 1 – Overall +2, Pace +2, Defending +3, Composure +5, Skill Moves +1, Press Proven PlayStyle

• Win 6 Squad Battles (or Rivals/Champions) matches on min. Semi-Pro using your active EVO player in game.

Level 2 – Overall +2, Pace +2, Defending +3, Reactions +6, Weak Foot +1, Relentless PlayStyle+

• Win 6 Squad Battles (or Rivals/Champions) matches by at least 2 goals on min. Semi-Pro using your active EVO player in game.
• Achieve 3 Clean Sheets in Squad Battles (or Rivals/Champions) matches on min. Semi-Pro using your active EVO player in game.

Level 3 – Overall +2, Pace +2, Passing +7, Dribbling +6, Physicality +4, Block PlayStyle+, Future Stars Academy Rarity

• Win 8 Squad Battles (or Rivals/Champions) matches on min. Semi-Pro using your active EVO player in game.
• Play 3 Rivals or Champions matches using your active EVO player in game.
• Assist 4 goals using your active EVO player in Squad Battles (or Rivals/Champions) on min. Semi-Pro.

Best players for FS Academy Defenders Evolution

The player you pick for this upgrade must fit the following criteria:

There are only 11 players that can be used in the FC 24 FS Academy Defenders Evolution. Every FUT account has been gifted with a FS Academy Defenders Pack which contains all 11 cards. However, you can only upgrade two of the nine, as there are only two of the EVO objectives available.

All of the players start with an 82 OVR and will end the EVO with an 88 OVR. As well as increased ratings and added PlayStyles, they will also gain the Future Star Academy Evos Rarity, which gives them +3 individual Chemistry when playing in position.

Our top choice for the FS Academy Defenders Evolution in FC 24 Ultimate Team is Lutsharel Geertruida. He has great pace, solid dribbling, defending, and physicality stats, plus the Power Header, Jockey, Anticipate, and Rapid PlayStyles. The Dutchman can play in multiple positions too, making him useful for squad-building options. Another boost from a future EVO could make him next-level!

With two of the 11 able to be upgraded, our next pick would be Jordan Beyer. After the boost and with a Shadow he has 95 PAC and 94 DEF! We know picking one of the CBs to upgrade isn’t the most popular choice, but the Burnley man does look very good. Sergio Gomez is also a very tempting choice.
