Squad Guide 

We’ve gone with a versatile 4-3-3 formation to gain the best Meta Rating we could. This also allows you to adapt your squad easily as you upgrade, with other formations easy to switch to if it suits you better. 

Our flying full-backs David Raum and Ridle Baku have the legs to get up and down the flanks. Both outperform when you compare their Meta Ratings to their actual ratings. It’s a center-back partnership of two Bayer Leverkusen players. Piero Hincapie and Edmond Tapsoba are very meta choices. You could upgrade Tapsoba to Borussia Dortmund’s Niklas Sule if you wanted. 

There aren’t the box-to-box options of previous seasons in the Bundesliga, however, we think that we’ve found the best three to go for on a budget. Dominik Kohr, Sahil Ozcan, and Xaver Schlager may not be the greatest going forward, but they give top physicality in the middle. 

Working within a budget, there weren’t many top options on the wings. Wolfsburg pair Jakub Kaminski and Patrick Wimmer are the best we could find. However, you will want to upgrade them soon. The AI thinks Andrej Kramaric is the top choice through the center, although you might want to go for Sherlado Becker or Youssoufa Moukoko instead.
