Bethesda has announced a brand new mobile game called Elder Scrolls Castles. It’s said to be similar to Fallout Shelter, which lots of fans know is fun and very addictive. While the release date for ESC isn’t here, you can pre-register to download Elder Scrolls Castles on iOS and Android as soon as it becomes available in your country.
This year is set to be very busy and frantic for Bethesda. Starfield is set to get significant updates throughout the next 12 months including mod support. Away from Starfield, MachineGames under the ZeniMax umbrella will provide a first look at gameplay for their Indiana Jones game during the Xbox Developer Direct 2024 showcase.
While all of the above is no doubt exciting, so too is the new Elder Scrolls Castles. It’s basically medieval Fallout Shelter, and you can pre-register right now.
How to pre-register for Elder Scrolls Castles
You can pre-register for Elder Scrolls Castles right now on iOS via the App Store and Android via Google Play. Regardless of which mobile platform you pre-register, you will need to confirm your email address belonging to your account used to make purchases on either device.
Unfortunately, pre-registering doesn’t mean you get to play the game this very second. All it means is that you will receive a notification when the game becomes available to play in your country.
How to download Elder Scrolls Castles
Elder Scrolls Castles is only available to download and play on iOS and Android in the Philippines as of January 18th. This is per BethesdaStudios‘ official post on Twitter. There’s no specific mention of when it will become available to play in the United States and the United Kingdom, but Bethesda says it ‘will be available to more countries in the coming months’.
You will be notified when it’s available to download if you pre-register. The following minimum system requirements will need to be met for your iOS and Android devices:
Android:
- OS – 10
- Device – Pixel 2 equivalent
iOS:
- OS – 13
- Device – iPhone 8

In regard to the full release date, Bethesda has not shared a launch window, but the App Store mentions December 2024.
