Elden Ring Nightreign’s meta-progress revolves chiefly around Relics, equippable Talismans that confer a range of buffs and effects to make successive Expeditions a little bit easier. You’ll unlock more Relics as you take part in Expeditions, even if you don’t beat the Nightlord at the end of each run. You can then equip these at the Relic Rites altar in the Roundtable Hold.

At the start of the game, you’ll only have access to one Relic Rite with three slots. This can feel limiting given the huge number of Relics you’ll amass as you take on Expeditions. Fortunately, you can get more Relic Rites in Elden Ring Nightreign, which is what we’ll walk you through in this guide.

Where to get more Relic Rites in Elden Ring Nightreign

To get more Relic Rites, you can buy what are known as vessels for each specific class at the Small Jar Bazaar in the Roundtable Hold. Each vessel costs Murk and unlocks an extra Relic Rite with three slots for Relics, the colour of which is shown under the Characteristics section in the shop. Though named differently, they are identical in function to the starting Urn Relic Rite vessel.

After completing your first Expedition and defeating Gladius, Beast of Night, the Bazaar will stock a Goblet for each class. Once you’ve beaten four Nightlords, the shop will sell the Spirit Shelter Grail for 3000 Murk, which grants an extra Relic Rite vessel to each class removing the need to buy it for each each one as you do with the Goblets.

Beyond those bought at the shop, there’s a Chalice vessel you can unlock for each class by playing through Remembrance quests. The specific point at which this unlocks depends on the class but most require you to to complete one of two Remembrance quest events it.

In total, you can get a three Relic Rite vessels per Nightfarer class, as follows:

How to use new Relic Rites vessels

Once you’ve purchased a vessel, head back to the Relic Rites altar next to the Table of Lost Grace. Cycle through to the class corresponding with the item you just bought, then press down to see all available Relic Rites and equip Relics in their respective slots.

Note that these work as preset loadouts and their effects don’t stack, which means that only the effects of the equipped Relic Rite vessel (indicated by the crossed swords and armor symbol) will be active during Expeditions. You can swap Rite vessels whenever you’re at the Roundtable Hold. As you beat more Expeditions, you’ll unlock improved Relic Rite vessels at the Small Jar Bazaar, including ones with non-coloured slots that can house any type of Relic.
