Creating a player in College Football 25 explained

Players will be able to create their own player in College Football 25, but this is limited to the Road to Glory mode, where you take on the role of a specific player rather than coaching an entire team as you would in the Dynasty mode. This gives you some unique challenges like managing your schedule, GPA and image as well as, of course, improving as a player.

When you make your player, you have four different categories to choose from, essentially acting as a ‘story’ for your player, determining how skilled they are at the start of your career. Elite players start off with 79 overall, making them good enough to play from the get-go, with your skill dropping with Blue Chip (75 OVR), Contributor (67 OVR) and lastly Underdog (60 OVR).

Next, you select your position. Each position has several Archetypes to choose from. For example, you could be a Route Runner WR with higher Quickness and IQ stats, or a Physical WR wih more Power, depending on your personal preferred style of play.

Once you’ve got the important stuff out of the way, it’s time for the cosmetic side of things. You can customise almost everything about your player, from skin tone and hair to their physique and the kind of gear they use. Lastly, you can choose a Mental Ability that will give you boosts under certain conditions, like resistance to weather or more composure in tight games.
