Obtaining Eldricite in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Eldricite is obtained by defeating Spectres. Spectres are apparitions similar to ghosts except they appear purple instead of blue. These monsters appear during the endgame after you access the Unmoored World through the true ending of the game. You have a chance of finding this material before the endgame by using a Pawn with the Forager Specialization around the Sacred Arbor.
Where to find Eldricite in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Eldricite can be found by defeating Spectres in the postgame of Dragon’s Dogma 2. That’s right, this creature only appears after you have beaten the game and gotten the true ending. There is a small chance of getting it before the endgame but we will get into that in a minute.
The best two locations to find Eldricite are the Misty Marshes and Bakbattahl. Both areas will have Spectres spawn at night. Spectres can be identified as purple ghosts that fly around. This is different from the blue ghosts that you will normally see at night. For starters, the Misty Marshes is the misty area to the northwest of Vernworth in the Vermund region.
The other area is the capital city of the Battahl region – Bakbattahl. This area is a good location to find Spectres and a great place to have them drop their essence.

Keep in mind that the drop rate for Eldricite is quite low so you may spend a long time searching for it. Using a Pawn’s Forager Specialization can help take some of the work off your shoulders while you search for other materials.
There is a small chance that you can get Eldricite before the endgame. To do this, you need to go to the Sacred Arbor and have a pawn with the Forager specialization search around the area. This is not a guaranteed way to get Eldricite but some players have stated they have had success with this method.
